Lori McKenna won the 2004 Boston Music Award for Female Singer-Song-writer of the Year and wrote songs for Faith Hill's album Fireflies. She's also married to a plumber, is the mother of five children, uses the family's minivan as her tour bus and lives near the working class Massachusetts town where she grew up. McKenna, who has won comparisons to the likes of Lucinda Williams and Nanci Griffith, makes her major label debut with Bittertown, a transcendent Americana album of small town anthems.
