Lisa Lampanelli

Bio

Dubbed by The New York Times as Comedy's “Lovable Queen of Mean,” Lisa Lampanelli is a no-holds-barred insult comic who masterfully works her audience while maintaining an inherent likeability that ultimately wins the hearts of her fans. Hailed as a cross between Don Rickles, Archie Bunker, and a vial of estrogen, she has even won accolades from The King of All Media, Howard Stern, who describes her as “a real funny broad.”

Lisa’s ability to make people laugh at their own stereotypes and differences helped her conquer the club scenes in both New York City and Los Angeles in a few short years. Her popularity skyrocketed in 2002 when she was the only female comedian invited to skewer Chevy Chase on the NY Friar’s Club Roast on Comedy Central. Since then she has become a staple of the Comedy Central Roasts for her stinging jests towards the guests of honor. Again, she was the only female invited to be part of the enormously rated “Comedy Central Roast of Jeff Foxworthy” in March 2004, and in the summer of 2005, her show-stopping performance on the “Comedy Central Roast of Pamela Anderson” received national attention, landing her subsequent appearances on CNN's “Showbiz Today” and Comedy Central’s “Weekends at the D.L.” Most recently, Lisa closed the “Comedy Central Roast of William Shatner.”
In addition to her success on Comedy Central, Lisa is a regular on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Howard Stern's Radio show. She appeared on Comedy Central’s “Last Laugh 2005” and her one-hour special, “Take It Like a Man,” was a hit with the comedy network yet again. Her CD and DVD of the same name hit #6 on the comedy charts.
As one of the few white comedians to perform on BET's “Comic View,” Lisa has cemented her huge crossover appeal. Lisa has also taped several specials for VH1, MTV and CMT, and with frequent spots on Sirius satellite radio, there’s no doubt why Lampanelli is selling out shows across the country.

Lisa can be see in the hugely popular, “Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector,” in which she plays a foul-mouthed dirty broad. She also starred in “The Aristocrats,” in which she played a foul-mouthed dirty comic. Lisa taped her new stand-up special “Dirty Girl” in fall of 2006, which will air on Comedy Central on January 28, 2007. Her “Dirty Girl” CD and DVD will be released by Warner Bros./Jack Records on January 30th. She will also be in the features “Drillbit Taylor,” opposite Owen Wilson, and “Delta Farce” starring Bill Engvall, Larry the Cable Guy and D.J. Qualls, which are set for release in early 2007.
